1 Jn 3:13, Matt 10:22-33nasb
82a Persecuted for Christ
And do not be surprised, brothers, that the world hates you.
Jesus said, "You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.
A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master.
Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
(Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.
So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.)
Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven.
But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven." -
1 Pet 5:10esv
86 transient affliction, eternal glory
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
-
1 Thess. 4:16aesV
93 Christ's return
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God.

2 cor 5:14-15, 18, 20esv
76 Reconciled reconcilers
For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this:
that one has died for all, therefore all have died;
and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves
but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ. -
2 Tim 2:3; 10, 2 Cor 4:17-18nasb
85 transient affliction, eternal glory
So suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen,
so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory.
For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,
as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen.
For the things that are seen are transient,
but the things that are unseen are eternal. -
Eph 1:4-6, Rom 8:29-30nasb
73 Chosen sons
Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world,
that we would be holy and blameless before Him.
In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the kind intention of His will,
to the praise of the glory of His grace.
For those whom he foreknew,
he also predestined to become conformed to the image of his Son,
and these whom he predestined, he also called;
and these whom he called, he also justified;
and these whom he justified, he also glorified. -
Eph. 2:1; 3-5; Rom 5:6; 2 Cor 4:6NIV
70 Dead to Alive and full of Light
And you were dead in the trespasses and sins, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
But God,
being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,
even when we were dead in our trespasses,
made us alive together with Christ
--by grace you have been saved.
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness,"
is the one who has shone in our hearts
to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. -
Hebrews 1:1-3nasb
52 Jesus, radiant God
God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. -
Is. 55:2, Jn. 10:10, 1 Jn. 5:12NASB
69b Jesus calls
Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And delight yourself in abundance.
He said, "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly."
Whoever has the Son has life, whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. -
Is 7:14, Matt 1:21, Is 9:6esv
51 Immanuel promised
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel, and he will save his people from their sins. And the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 53:10-12ESV
64 Messiah
Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him;
he has put him to grief;
when his soul makes an offering for guilt,
he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days;
the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied;
by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant,
make many to be accounted righteous,
and he shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many,
and he shall divide the spoil with the strong,
because he poured out his soul to death
and was numbered with the transgressors;
yet he bore the sin of many,
and makes intercession for the transgressors. -
Isaiah 53:7-9ESV
63 Messiah
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth;
like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.
By oppression and judgment he was taken away;
and as for his generation, who considered
that he was cut off out of the land of the living,
stricken for the transgression of my people?
And they made his grave with the wicked
and with a rich man in his death,
although he had done no violence,
and there was no deceit in his mouth. -
Jn 14:6, Matt. 11:28-30esv
69a Jesus calls
Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life;
no one comes to the Father but through me.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." -
John 1:1-4, 14nasb
55 Jesus the Word
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things came into being through Him.
In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. -
John 1:29nasb
67 Lamb of God
Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
-
John 3:19-20nasb
56 light or darkness
But the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. -
Jude 1:24-25NASB
99b (102) Christ eternally glorified
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy,
to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord,
be glory, majesty, dominion and authority,
before all time and now and forever.
Amen. -
Luke 9:24, Matt. 5:10-12, 2 Tim 3:12nasb
82b Persecuted for Christ
For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven."
Indeed all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. -
Matt 22:37; 1 Jn 2:15nasb
81 Love the Lord not the world
"So love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind."
But do not love the world or the things of the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. -
Matt. 24:43-51esV
90 Faithful servants
But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.
Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?
Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.
Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.
But if that wicked servant says to himself, 'My master is delayed,'
and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards,
the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know
and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites.
In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. -
Matt 28:19, Rev 5:9nasb
79 Every nation
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
for Christ was slain, and purchased for God with his blood
men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. -
Rev. 17:14esV
96 Christ as Judge and King
They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.
-
Rev. 19:11-16esV
94 Christ comes as Judge and King
Then John saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse!
The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.
He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.
And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.
From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations,
and he will rule them with a rod of iron.
He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. -
Rev. 20:10-15esV
98 Christ destroys evil
And the devil was thrown into the lake of fire.
Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.
And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. -
Rev. 21:1-7esV
99a (101) New heaven and earth
Then he saw a new heaven and a new earth.
(And he saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.)
And he heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them,
and they shall be his people,
and God himself will be among them,
and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,
and there will no longer be any death,
there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain;
the first things have passed away."
And he who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new."
And he said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true."
Then he said, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.
I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.
He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son."
He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming quickly."
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. -
Rom 5:2-5; 1 Pet 1:13Nasb
89 transient affliction, eternal glory
So we exult in hope of the glory of God.
And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;
and perseverance, proven character;
and proven character, hope;
and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit,
fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. -
Rom 6:4, 2 Cor. 5:17esv
74 New creations
We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death,
in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father,
we too might walk in newness of life.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
