Assurance of Victory

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Assurance of Forgiveness

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

The World

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world — the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does — comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

Assurance of Salvation

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

01: Christ the Center

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! NIV

Giving

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

02: Christ the Center

The Word

Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

Trials

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

The Adversary

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Love

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

04: Obedience to Christ

Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him. NIV

07: Prayer

Assurance of Answered Prayer

"Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete."

Witnessing

Assurance of Guidance

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

God's Word

How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word....I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

The Church

I rejoiced with those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."

12: Witnessing

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. NIV

03: Obedience to Christ
