Topical Memory System (NIV 2011)
This collection is based on the excellent Topical Memory System developed by the Navigators, using the latest NIV (NIV 2011) translation.
There are 5 collections (shown below), and each collection contains 6 topics with 2 memory verses per topic (5 x 6 x 2 = 60 memory verses in total).
- A: Living The New Life
- B: Proclaiming Christ
- C: Reliance On God’s Resources
- D: Being Christ’s Disciple
- E: Growth In Christlikeness
When reciting, you state (in this order):
- The topic
- The Bible reference
- The verse
- The Bible reference
I've personally found the topic accompanying each verse very helpful, because it creates a little "memory hook" that brings the verse to mind when relevant circumstances arise in life. The dual repetition of the Bible reference helps you to really nail in that important detail, which is so easily forgotten.
As a final aside, this my.remem.me collection was based from the collections already made by dcoffing. I've updated the verses to the NIV2011 translation, edited the topics for easier sorting, and added the labels to divide the one large collection into 5 packs.
