My Gospel Presentation
God created everything and it was good.
Genesis 1:1 Genesis 1:31
But man sinned -- we broke God's commands
Genesis 3:10-11
God gave us the following commands that we are to keep. He also gave them to show us our sin as we cannot keep them perfectly.
Exodus 20:3-5a; 7-9; 12-17
Not only that but if we desire that wrong be done to someone we sin also. Anything that we think, say, or do to disobey, rebel or seek our own way is sin and against a holy, just, God that loves us.
Matthew 5:21-22
Romans 3:10-12 James 2:10
And are all stuck in sin with no hope of escape by our own actions. What we truly want the world can't give.
Ecclesiastes 1:14
Every attempt is meaningless--pointless--worthless, but we can have hope...
Isaiah 53:5-6
Jesus obeyed God's commands perfectly and died upon a cross because our sin separates us from Him.
Hebrews 9:22, 27-28
He came to pay the price to set us free from sin and death-- both spiritual and physical. That price was to suffer God's wrath against our sin, to die...
Romans 5:12, 19
Romans 5:8
1 Peter 2:24
But He didn't stay dead!
Luke 24:5-7
1Corinthians 15:3-4
Matthew 28:5-6
He rose again that death would be conquered and to free us from our sin that we can be with Him! Freed from being slaves to sin now we can be slaves to Him
John 8:34, 36
Which I feel sounds weird but we can be slaves to the one who made us, loves us so much that He died for us, and desires for us to know Him and be with Him forever!
John 3:16 Revelation 21:3-4
He paid the price, though yes we will still die physically but He has given us a gift--that we can be reborn and alive spirituality in Him! We don't need to earn it-- we never could earn it but He gives us this as a gift!
Romans 6:23
Ephesians 2:4-5, 8-9
If you want to accept this gift you are to:
Acts 2:38-39 Acts 16:31
When we sin again we are to ask for forgiveness and repent.
Luke 17:3 1 John 1:9 1 John 2:1
God wants us to be holy and perfect.
1Peter 1:15-16 Matthew 5:48
Don't panic! He will help us
