Catholic TMS B: Proclaim Christ
The verses in Series B: Proclaim Christ will help you communicate the basic message of salvation to those who have yet to make a decision to become a follower of Christ. The gospel message can be illustrated systematically as a cross that spans two cliffs like a bridge, just like St. Catherine of Siena envisioned (The Dialogue, 21). The cliff on the left represents the state of mankind– All Have Sinned, and Sin's Penalty. The cross-bridge represents the gift of salvation– Christ Paid the Penalty, and Unmerited Salvation. The cliff on the right represents God's calling to his holy presence– Personal Response, Assurance of God's Mercy, and Be Baptized. John Paul II taught, "The living and personal Gospel, Jesus Christ himself, is the 'good news'...the lay faithful have an essential and irreplaceable role in this announcement and in this testimony." (Christifideles Laici, 7)
